The valley of Terragnolo, shaped by the enchanting power of the river Leno rises at the feet of mount Pasubio, north-east of Rovereto. Historically, the valley was a land of knights, scene of the Great War battles and a mid-way land between the Venetian Republic and Tyrol. You can still hear the echo of ancient times in the lanes of Terragnolo and find out legends and ancient stories plunged into a wild nature.
The valley of Terragnolo, in the north–east of Rovereto, is situated between the Col Santo, Pasubio, Finonchio and Monte Maggio mountains. It extends up to the Borcola pass and it is characterised by a series of south facing villages (33) scattered along terraces above along the Leno river. Visitors to the Terragnolo valley can ‘breathe the smell’ of past times and hear the echo of old stories and legends in the small alleys of the villages.
